THE SOL TRIO TULEE KRAMSULLE!

The SOL Trio is multi-instrumentalist Jonathan Segel, drummer/percussionist and collector of odd instruments Mattias Olsson, and Pispala banjo wizard L. Don Ōkami. Expect a heady but fun mixture of prog, folk and free improvisation!
L. Don Ōkami is the nom de banjo of Tampere transplant Don Lupo from South Carolina via Switzerland, Germany, Japan and Ireland. Don has been playing American for over 50 years and clawhammer banjo for over 35. After many years focusing on traditional music from the southern US, he has started exploring the space between traditional folk music, drones, noise and banjo with the aid of loopers, effects and collaborators. His performances are musical journeys weaving between hard-core traditional Appalachian folk, own songs in a similar style, and trance-inducing banjo instrumentals supplemented by loops and effects. Don has played to enthusiastic audiences in Finland, Sweden, UK, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. I
Jonathan Segel is a talented musician and composer known for his multi-instrumental work with Camper Van Beethoven, Sparklehorse, Hieronymous Firebrain, Eugene Chadbourne, Øresund Space Collective and many others, as well as his solo work in many genres, including singer-songwriter, improviser, and electronic composer.
Mattias Olsson is a Swedish drummer / percussionist / musician with a love of all things analogue. He runs his own record label Roth Händle Recordings and the recording studio Roth Händle Studios in the Stockholm area. He has played in multiple bands including Øresund Space Collective, Änglagård, Pineforest Crunch and White Willow.
