Kurssin sisältö: Tutustutaan huumorin eri ilmaisumuotoihin (vitsit, sketsit, näytelmät,

huumorimusa yms.) kirjoittamalla humoristisia tekstejä sekä luodaan improamalla humoristisia kohtauksia. Lisäksi kurssikerroilla esimerkiksi katsotaan inspiraation lähteeksi sketsejä. 

Jos osallistujat tahtovat, he saavat lukea ääneen muille omat tekstinsä (vitsi, sketsi yms.) Jos teksti on sketsi tms., halutessaan osallistujat näyttelevät tekstinsä ryhmälle. Osallistujat saavat itse valita mikä huumorin ilmaisumuoto heitä eri kerroilla puhuttelee eniten. Myös useamman tyylilajin valinta saman kerran sisällä on mahdollista ja huumorin tyylejä saa sekoittaakin keskenään.

Kurssikerrat alkavat pienellä ”huumorilämpällä” eli jokainen saa kertoa pienen vitsin, kaskun yms. Lisäksi tehdään lyhyt fyysinenkin lämppä. Kurssi huipentuu viimeisellä kerralla osallistujien kirjoittamaan loppuprojektiin, jonka työstämiseen viimeinen kurssikerta on varattu. Se voi olla lyhäri, sketsikokoelma/-show, mininäytelmä yms. Osallistujat valitsevat loppuprojektin tyylin.

Osallistujilla on mahdollisuus halutessaan esittää toiveita kurssin sisällöstä. Kurssi on matalan kynnyksen kurssi, eikä aiempaa kokemusta huumorin tekemisestä tai esittävästä taiteesta tarvita. Iso kopallinen rohkeaa kokeilumieltä ja heittäytymistä riittää!

Course content: We’ll explore different forms of humor (jokes, skits, plays, comedy music, etc.) by writing humorous texts and creating humorous scenes through improvisation. In addition, during the sessions, we’ll watch skits, for example, as a source of inspiration.

If participants wish, they may read their own texts (jokes, sketches, etc.) aloud to the group. If the text is a sketch or similar, participants may perform it for the group if they wish. Participants may choose for themselves which form of humor form of humor appeals to them most on different sessions. It’s also possible to choose multiple genres within the same session, and participants are encouraged to mix different styles of humor.

Each session begins with a short “humor warm-up,” where everyone gets to share a short joke, anecdote, etc. In addition, we do a short physical warm-up. The course culminates in the final session with a final project written by the participants, and the last course session is reserved for working on it. It can be a short film, a collection of sketches or a sketch show, a mini-play, etc.

Participants choose the style of their final project.

Participants have the opportunity to make requests regarding the course content if they wish. The course is an accessible course, and no prior experience in comedy or the performing arts is required. All you need is a big dose of courage to experiment and a willingness to let loose!
